About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor — Civil to manage construction efforts across various project sites in Kolkata. This role is responsible for the execution of civil engineering tasks, enforcing quality assurance protocols, and maintaining established safety standards on site. The position requires a solid background in site execution, resource allocation, and practical field management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to blueprints and technical specifications.
- Supervise earthworks and concrete operations, maintaining quality and workmanship standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance metrics.
- Enforce safety measures and operational protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Coordinate directly with project managers and engineers to align field execution with project timelines.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize daily productivity and minimize operational delays.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and quality assessments.
- Train and mentor junior site staff to support team capabilities and on-site performance.
- Liaise with subcontractors, material suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate field operations.
- Address and resolve on-site technical or logistics issues to ensure project milestones are met.
Required Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent verified practical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in civil construction supervision.
- Clear understanding of construction methodologies, civil materials, and site equipment.
- Proven track record in quality assurance processes and safety enforcement.
- Practical communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse site teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience within the Kolkata real estate sector or similar urban environments.
- Familiarity with contemporary construction technologies and structural techniques.
- Certification in safety management or construction risk assessment.
- Previous leadership or project coordination experience is an asset.
