About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Supervisor — Civil to join our client's civil engineering team in Kolkata. This role involves directing daily on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed according to design specifications, within budget, and on schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in civil engineering practices and demonstrate reliable leadership skills while managing active project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to facilitate smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any structural or operational issues that arise.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation on project status, including manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
• Assist in developing and managing project budgets, tracking expenditures to ensure financial efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to provide progress updates and address concerns.
• Train and mentor junior staff and laborers in site best practices and safety protocols.
• Enforce safety measures and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to practical planning and problem-solving initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized and accredited technical institution.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in construction supervision or civil engineering site work.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and field techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
• Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in managing multiple project sites simultaneously.
• Familiarity with standard project management software and tracking tools.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and travel across regional project sites as needed.
• Understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards in construction.
